Sanderson Farms Swings to Quarterly Loss - Surprised?

If you listen to Cramer, I mean on the opposite way, you should have sold SAFM at a price near the top. I sold my SAFM options and stocks recently with a decent return. As I have said many times before, if you have a good profit before the earnings, then take the profit. It’s like the “deal or no deal” show, money in the hands is always better than money in the dreams.
SAFM went up to almost $31 three days ago and that’s very close to the $32 fair value according to my friend RMA’s analysis. The chance that it goes up further is pretty limited. On this Tuesday, Cramer “formally” declared that “bird flu” is dead and it’s time to buy SAFM. I have to say that’s some pretty good “timing”.
I write this blog to exchange investing thoughts with my friends and the foremost, I want my readers make money on the investing themes that I post here. This blog may become entertaining once in a while, but generally it’s a place for people to discuss serious money making ideas. Please post your ideas here too in the comment section. I’ll read them and reply them as soon as I can.
Good luck!

Thanks for the blog. It is really helpful to read your thoughts. I did buy SAFM and sold it at 29(after reading your blog).
What do you thing about SGTL & SFNT ? I did buy some of them before drop. Do you think it is right time to average in or shall we wait ? There are couple of other stocks down because of option back dating. I won’t touch JNPR because I do work for competitor of JNPR and don’t feel it is anymore growth story.
What are your thoughts on MERQ.PK ? It is another stock that was hammered long back because of option back dating (what we are seeing with SFNT etc.). It has since recovered but they are not up to date with their financials.
The other security stocks WBSN & COGT ? They are also doing very poorly in current market..

Funny to see that people hated Cramer just as much in 2006 as they do now!!! haha
